The Teams were St Kilda (The Saints) and Geelong (The Cats) It was a fantastic game and very close right up until the siren went. Geelong came out the winners on the day. ~ My Garden ~

I just mowed the lawns and this is a snapshot of my front garden. It's only fairly small as the main garden is in back, but behind the the red cherry tree is a fernery complete with pond and waterfall, leading to the front door. It just looked so lovely I thought I would share.

Thank you to all those who left messages of encouragement and for your beautiful emails. It was incredibly encouraging to know how many of you care about my work and about me as a person. I was tired the other night and came home and still made sure I had freebies available and perhaps it was the tiredness that made me feel so down when I saw how quickly they were downloaded with no word of thanks. I hear the same feelings spoken by other designers who say that no matter how much they offer, the thank you's are minimal. I guess in one way I am lucky as some of do always leave a thank you, and it those of you who have been so kind in leaving these messages. Disappointed

I have added 4 new freebies today, and to date, only one person has left a message or a thank you. I understand why my fellow designers get so fed up with posting freebies, when people come in and they take and take, and yet they cannot take 3 seconds of their time to simply say "Thankyou" There will be no freebies tomorrow, I am going to take some time to think about whether to close this blog or not. There is no satisfaction in it for me any more, just disillusionment

~ Luca Turns 6 ~

Well today is a special day as my little grandaughter Luca celebrated her 6th Birthday! I can't believe that time has gone so swiftly, it seem like only yesterday I was holding her just after her birth. She has a heap of people visiting and a special jewellery party on Saturday. Hubby and I bought her a beautiful pink broderie anglaise party dress and a gorgeous little chiffon nightdress. We threw in a special faerie book as well lol. Issue with 4Shared

Well it seems our resident ratbags (Hackers) Hit the 4-shared site yesterday. Luckily 4Shared have been able to restore their site quickly and all is well again now. Isnt it a shame these idiots dont put their talents to good use instead of creating havoc for people who just simply wish to enjoy the net?

~ Home Again ~

Thank you all for you care and good wishes. Hubby and I are back home and he is now recovering. He is finding the crutches awkward to use but each day things get better. He will be unable to walk for 6 weeks and then a 3 month recovery period. We both know it will be great though once he is well again as he has been in a lot of pain for quite some time now. The nursing staff at the hospital were fabulous and such caring people. I stayed overnight with my daughter and she travelled to and from the hospital with me which was great, as I hate city traffic. Again thank you for your wonderful messages.
